Desktop power adapters — common questions

Can you build a custom desktop power adapter?

Yes. We build enclosed desktop (external) adapters from 12 to 24 V and up to 140 W to your output voltage, DC connector, and cable length, with a detachable IEC AC cord and your housing color and logo.

What is the difference between a desktop and a wall-mount adapter?

A desktop (external) adapter is the enclosed brick with a detachable AC cord and a DC output lead — used above roughly 40 W, where a plug-in unit would be too heavy for the outlet. A wall-mount plugs straight into the socket. We build both to the same safety file.

What certifications do your desktop adapters carry?

UL 62368-1 safety, DoE Level VI efficiency, and FCC Part 15 B as standard — DoE Level VI is the US minimum efficiency rule for external supplies. Regional marks (PSE, KC, BIS) on request, each verifiable by file number.

Can you match an existing desktop adapter?

Yes. Send the output rating, connector, and a sample and we cross-reference a drop-in equivalent with the same voltage, current, polarity, and safety marks.

Can I choose the country of origin?

Yes. The same adapter builds in Vietnam or China on one drawing set, so you elect the origin, documented per unit.
